There’s Going To Be A Haitian Jack Miniseries
Benny Boom is directing the upcoming Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me.
His next project is going to be focused on Pac’s rival Haitian Jack.
In the diss track ‘Against All Odds,’ Tupac accuses Haitian Jack (and Jimmy Henchman) of setting up the infamous 1994 shooting outside of Quad Recording Studios in New York, in which Pac survived five bullets.
He also accuses Haitian Jack of being a government informant who set him up for the rape charges that landed Pac in prison in 1995.
Boom’s going to explore that and more to life in a TV miniseries about Jack.
“Haitian Jack’s story is extraordinary and the opportunity to explore his life through a television series is incredible,” Boom said. “Crime, drugs, violence and music as told through his experiences will be a groundbreaking moment for television.”
The series will be penned by Straight Outta Compton screen writer Alan Wenkus.
“As feared and connected as Haitian Jack was, the infamous figures he interacted with in the 1990s hip-hop scene were even more sinister and ruthless,” Wenkus said. “Working with the amazing Benny Boom and Ted Field has given us access to interviews and firsthand accounts that gives the series enormous credibility.”
Jack will be an adviser on the project, which doesn’t have a station or a date yet.
