  • Cuban Pete

They want props for starting that bullshit? FOH

  • Katman1117

Autotuned mumbling??? I swear T Pain was doing that a long time ago…

    • You mad huh?

You must be deaf because you can understand every word they say. Now if this was a young thug article then yea, that’s a possibility lol.

      • Katman1117

I never heard a song of theirs w/o autotune… there’s nothing innovative about using the same tricks that been around since 2005. If I’m missing something lmk, if there’s a track that I haven’t heard that’d make me understand lmk, but I can’t see anything “game changing” about doing shit that’s already been done.

  • ChiCity300

Don’t matter it will die out. someone will come with another one

  • Melo

    Delusional or nah?

  • ben

Even if they did start it, that’s nothin to be proud of. This pretty much the worst era of hip hop history cuz of dumb fucks like these dudes

  • You mad huh?

They didn’t start the staccato flow. that’s been around forever.

    • jurassicjrod

      you mad huh?

  • jurassicjrod

they just trying to “ride the wave” even more….too bad they don’t understand physics…Every wave crests and crashes

    • L boog

      And advances

      • jurassicjrod

water is always in the same place…a wave doesn’t “advance” just because it crashes…the tide doesn’t advance

      • jurassicjrod

        OK Migos’ butt buddy

      • jurassicjrod

        i can’t even with u

      • jurassicjrod

i think you need a lesson in physics….sigh…the entire generation of people like you makes me sick…..you think you are smart? the water recedes back after it crests crashes and advances…the ocean is always the ocean, the waves don’t actually advance
        HOLY SHIT U R A TARD

  • imaginationsequation

Drakes Portland track never made sense. Migos said Drake stole from them, then they hopped on a track about not letting someone ride ya wave. I know “get money”
but The whole song is a contradiction

    • jurassicjrod

this whole new wave is a contradiction….it is sad tho, cause u see by the amount of people commenting here (and all the other articles) and you see just the amount of SHEOPLE there are here….that Portland track has always annoyed me….it is the epitome of this crap rap from this generation….lets get a nigga to sing, lets get a stupid hook with catchy words that sound fun to say, and lets all get grills, and wear chains, and bump that bass…oh, and lets get like 5 features cause some of these beats are SOOOOOO lame we just need to extend yet another

      • imaginationsequation

you can get some good debates or discussions here, well sometimes. Shits better than world star and hiphopdx diesnt have discs. But you’re right at the same time cuz a lot of people argument is based mostly off money popularity and streams, rarely the music anymore, that shits just boring.

        • jurassicjrod

most of these guys are legit fans of Juicy J….so it isn’t like i’m expecting to get a lot of music discussions here, but yeah, mos def world star and hiphopdx the convos are even more base, racist, or just about the female anatomy….
regardless, i would hope to get everyone talking intelligently about music…most people don’t even think of music as a subject worth talking about, yet it is the most present stimulus and learning environment that most people are familiar with and can converse on … we should be able to talk about the industry, the musicians within, all from the same base set of knowledge…obvi everyone has their own opinion, but most people don’t realize how much their taste in music was influenced (as was mine)
where u come from, the time u grew up in, even how popular u were in school, it all affects your emotions and your needs and thus your emotional needs from music…….
most people are very base and want poonani 24/7….hence why people like Travis Scott are even allowed a music career…..there isn’t anything wrong with those messages in music, but those artists shouldn’t necessarily be vaulted to the top….like in this case, Migos has been propelled by this Youtube Generation (as has Lil Yachty, Lil Shitface, Lil Pooper Sccoper, and I have a lil Pump short & stout, here is my handle and here i spout my Bullshit)……DOESN’T MEAN IT IS MUSIC or HIP HOP……Pop culture (i.e. WHITE PEOPLE) like to take others’ culture and Profit off of it……

          • imaginationsequation

Those names have been propelled to where they are to dumb down people. The entertainment industry is lacking in all areas, probably purposely cuz they don’t want people to think for themselves. It’s talent out there, you just won’t hear about them on mainstream or sites like this (well unless their murdered). I mostly just listen to instrumentals now

          • jurassicjrod

i can tell you are the only decently smart person on here….instrumentals are HIPHOP…..they are what this site, and what these Juicy J Slim Pump retard Boosies ARE NOT….which is Energy, rhythm, i.e. ACTUAL MUSIC…..

everything that is culture, Pop culture, is a distraction….so that you don’t have time money energy or even the brain power to tackle racism, capitalism, or any -ism this world has to offer

if you want real instrumentals, Madlib, J Dilla, are the MECHA gods of hip hop
            Pete Rock
            DJ Premier
            THE LIST GOES ON

almost nothing mainstream is real music or real hip hop, unless they started from the bottom, Kendrick is a perfect example

            I rotate only underground
            Elzhi
            Nicolay
            Foreign Exchange
            LIST GOES ON

I don’t think i can change these dumb people’s minds, but i am gonna try

one day, the right messages will be in the right places, and then these people will only have this site to discuss the Juicy Js of the world

            INSTRUMENTALS ARE SUNSHINE

          • imaginationsequation

Lol I appreciate it but it’s people on here with sense. I think you might get banned for putting foreign exchange up there lol, I wish little brother and 9th wonder got more exposure back then, but BET said they were too smart and the people wouldn’t understand their music. Nicolay makes real chill sounds. That album he did with freeway some years ago was pretty good. I listen to slum village n Dillas fall in love often still, but “reunion” is my favorite. I found out about flying lotus thru the commercials on adult swim years ago and just found so many good sounds out there. I think it’s dope that just sounds can ease a headache or clear my head. Flying lotus, the avalanches, they use to be strictly sounds funk n soul, but on the last album they had Danny Brown and I think geechi suede from camp lo. Whatever music app u use just start W flying lotus n see where it takes you. Or go to YouTube n check flying lotus: cornus the terminator, that song is dope or the one featuring Kendrick. The avalanches check out frontier psychologist, tonight and because I’m me (thays the one with one of the camp lo dudes but check them out if u get a chance you might like them

          • jurassicjrod

i’ve got them all, every song album and remix….i collect music…460K and counting…..discographile…..sound….its the lost form of communication
dont use music apps…..streaming, internet, etc…thats the trap….
the avalanches – dope underground band…
9th Wonder -= the fucking MAN…the dude is just an absolute motherfucking genius

but there is no beating Dilla or Madlib…they are the only producers who really matter IMO

          • imaginationsequation

Thats actually impressive, without the internet im not sure how I wouldve came across a lot of stuff outside of the music I grew up on. I found a lot of good stuff on accident like looking for the rhinestone cowboy scene from this old movie called, high school high, and found mf doom. Dilla and Madlib go without question. Anti American graffitis my favorite, gobstoppers my alarm clock ringtone. Dilla made a beat W kazoos and busta rhymes lol. The roots did him solid justice with their tribute, I need to see if I can find more

          • jurassicjrod

i think you are the only other guy on here with a set of ears for music man…
that’s a great way to wake up….Dilla & Madlib is what we should be studying in schools…
            maybe one day
without the internet, there would be no way of researching music these days
who has the money?!? everything is fucking expensive now, and there’s millions of artists, not just in this country too

some of the most legendary and rare stuff i have come across on accident ::D

          • imaginationsequation

That’s why I like the internet, it’s so much music out there, the number of yer collection shows proof, that’s a lot.of collecting. I wanna learn how to make beats just for something to do, I know once I learn what to do. I can make some dangerous stuff. I wanna sample this sound from ninja garden 2 from Nintendo lol. I’m sure it’s classes that do study hip hop W Dilla Madlib and other producers on top of dope artist and straight emcees, even today’s stuff. 9th wonder preserved certain hip hop albums in Harvard’s library, I think that’s huge..

          • Craig

You can’t change the hearts of men. if you really want things to change it has to be done in the long run by influencing our children. You may not see that change come for a good decade or longer but that’s really the only way to make it happen. You will waste time and a lot of energy trying to reprogram grown people that are set in their ways. Your only refuge from the ignorance of today is to find like minded people and surround yourself with them.

          • jurassicjrod

i can’t disagree with you it being hard to change “grown” people….but you aren’t really “grown” if you’re programmed the wrong way…

people need to understand that change is good….anybody can change…especially grown people…they are just the most stubborn…because of stigmas like u speak of

but if everyone just used their brains and hearts and realized that “change” is easy (and change isn’t even the goal…more like being more aware)……..

well…i’m not trying to change the world with my response…but i think while u touch on the problem, it is a problem that is manifested in what is socially accepted as “grown”….what is “easy” what is “hard” to do….people aren’t open….people aren’t intelligent….people aren’t respectful…

your only refuge shouldn’t be those choices…we should all be willing to use our ears…every human is the same, eyes, ears, mouth, brain, heart, soul…..

changing the way we educate the youth would be a start

but changing the way “grown” people recognize what exactly is “grown”….now that’s how you make real change

and that is possible…not if you believe it to be….but because change is not only inevitable….not only probably…but completely possible For Everyone…including these MAGA trump supporting fucks who i’m sure we would all just deck on sight……

maybe not in our lifetime…but one day, we will never have weapons, and use only words

          • imaginationsequation

I was always a 3 6 fan, they weren’t lyricist or anything but they were original and dope to me. Listen to a song by project pat called “life we live”. Artist arent allowed or really don’t care to drop music like that, it’s no balance of substance in music anymore, well not mainstream

    • Craig

they gave drake a pass because him hopping on Versace and hitting that flow that pushed them into mainstream. That was the official cosign. Most people never heard the original version of that song or anything else from migos. so really it wasn’t so much them at all.

  • jurassicjrod

we all now how lame this commenting forum is, cant post pics, links, etc…check out a real hip hop website…Ambrosia For Heads….search google for this headline “Wyclef Jean Explains Why Country Music Is The Original Gangsta Rap”…..now that’s a real article on music

  • Killa Cam Newton

First time I really took a second look at adlibs was thug motivation 101 I was like damn this nigga cold with them…and reall takeoff is the most original of the group

    • jurassicjrod

agreed on takeoff, only one of the three with anything close to “bars”…quavo knows his “lane” and his style complements some songs and artists out there, but he is quite stale, repetitive and all extremely Formulaic

    • imaginationsequation

styles p and dip set had the best ad libs to me lol

  • jurassicjrod

too much dick riding in this “new wave”

  • Chicagoan

  • Woahnow

  • Charlie

This flow come from drizzy who got it from migos who got it from THREE SIX

    • imaginationsequation

They said Drake stole from them too

  • Trust None

I guess they must’ve forgot about Lord Infamous, Gangsta Boo or Koopsta Knicca. I Fucc with some of their music but taking claim to a flow that already was formulated by someone else is asinine.

  • Mr postman

    Lord infamous, nuff said..

  • licul boy

  • Mike Savage

Fuck yall mean Ace hood did it way before u (But way better) also future. So fuck you blouse wearing fagboys. FUCK migos.

  • kushxchevys

    These niggas off it

  • Billy Clark

Their triplet flow comes from Bone Thugs, and Takeoff basically admitted it in his verse on the YRN 2 Intro song. All these other dudes right now are copying it from Migos, for sure — but Migos didn’t come up with that flow, and they know it.

  • I shit on your comment

Call me a hater if u want.. but the migos is trash!

  • jurassicjrod

Migos is nothing new!!!!!!! WTF IS GOING ON??? Who lets these interviewers have a career? Just Propoganda!!

  • frankwhitedc

These niggas smoking crack , they got style from Gucci and definitely skippa da flippa

  • smith jones

  • ReturN of Lord Hanzo Hittori

Three 6 mafia started that flow these niggas clowns fr

  • Craig

changed nah bruh more like infected because all hip hop and rnb feel like they gotta rap and sing in staccato. It’s been around since day one but it was only used by certain rappers in moderation. Now it’s like people cannot help it. Like flu season people just got the sickness. I will be glad when a new wave come in bruh. how long will this go on?
