Nah Magna Carta was dope, plus you heard his verse on Pusha T’s Drug Dealer’s Anonymous last year?! He’s one of the few legends that hasn’t fallen off. Dude’s shitting on Eminem right now.

      • yea magna carta was a pretty solid album frfr. it was his best since american gangster to me

        • Leekluv216

We will have to agree to disagree my G! I liked Magna Carta only because it was Hov but it wasn’t that solid to me. Now on the other hand, niccas slept and is still sleeping on American Gangster! TO ME that is an amazing project from top to bottom and to date on of his best projects.

          • I feel you, everybody got their own taste. but yea man american gangster is one of his best albums, ppl fail to mention it for whatever reason smh

      • Unfuck the World

        shitting on Em? doubtful

      • NYK & POT

Niggas always sleep on magna carta. Glad to see people show it some love. I loved that album

      • Conner

His lame punch lines bar to bar stands no chance to em, lyrically neither. Just dont care for jay never really did other then in the 90s

      • Matt Leon

I was agreeing with you until “shitting on Eminem”. Jay is good but you can’t compare the success of these two. Eminem shits on Jay, if anything.

    • Food4Thought

You crazy if you think Jay fell off

    • Manny Bravo

False. Jay Z is a god of the game and could never fall off (even if his last album was mediocre).

      • Conner

God of the gsme but csnt freestyle? Nah sorry bro

        • Matt Leon

I’ll say this. There’s no way of knowing if a freestyle is a legit freestyle. Dude’s freestyles could be as written as a damn recorded song. I don’t think freestyles should measure how good a rapper is these days.

          • Conner

Ya of course not i never said that is what makes a good rapper but if you are a “god” in the game you best know how to do everything, live up to all this hype you have ya ok jay is better then most new rappers out now a days, in terms of helping out the culture nah he is no where to be seen

          • Manny Bravo

That’s true, but freestyles were actually freestyles in Jay’s generation. Hov used to spit off-top during the early parts of his career.

          • Matt Leon

Maybe but I’m honestly skeptical when I hear a freestyle from anybody. There’s always a chance that they’re legit just rapping a song that they already had written but just didn’t ever release.

          • Manny Bravo

            Fair enough.

        • Manny Bravo

Your ignorance is showing. Go listen to his legendary freestyle with Big L and delete this comment.

          • Conner

Ignorance is showing lol your goof nah as i said already he was good back then with children of corn and what not big l cam read before ya speakk

          • Manny Bravo

You’re just making up shit now. You never said anything about Big L in your previous comments. Just take this big L I’ve giving you gracefully and be happy that you learned something today.

          • Poopmaster

Jay z was not with children of the corn…

    • NY HIP HOP HEAD

See, this is real wack of you and just shows a lack of appreciation. You’d think after all the classics he’s given us you could at least give that man the respect he deserves with a simple “I love Jay’s older work, not really a fan of his new stuff, but hats off to the man for all he’s done and continues to do for hip hop.” That easy bro. Because funny thing is, myself and many others agree with you in terms of him regressing musically over the years. Like I prefer 1996 – 2003 Jay Z albums VS. 2006 – 2013 Jay Z albums. But I don’t gotta be a dick about it.

  • preppy pimp

Happy belated birthday Pac! KILLuminiti eff foe foe foe

    • Manny Bravo

You seen “All Eyez on Me” yet?

  • Manny Bravo

Does anybody remember the “Distant Relatives” album with Nas and Damian Marley? I wonder if that’s what “4:44” is going to sound like.

    • YoungPrime

I still have DR in my car. They’ve been playing the sample from “As we enter” in a commercial lately. Very underrated LP.

      • Manny Bravo

Agreed. I thought everyone forgot about it.

        • Poopmaster

Nah dope album. Pimpass paradise one loaf of bread, road to Zion. Whole album dope.

  • YoungPrime

Magna Carta is the only Jay-z album I don’t own. There were only 2 or 3 memorable songs on it that were worth a damn IMO. And this 444 shit being a tidal exclusive will likely be the second one I don’t own or even care at this point.

    • Leekluv216

LOL I wasn’t too big of a fan of Magna Carta myself, I agree it only had a solid 2-4 cuts on it.

  • Akhenaton

    nobody is really interested

  • Mike

    I don’t care yes i do i was joking
