He absolutely was. I picked that shit up when I first heard the track but if y’all watch his vlog he explains it. He’s going to take this moment ( how ever long fame lasts; with him possibly generations to come) to speak on stuff he feels needs to be said. I’m a Kanye fan but homie isn’t exempt from criticism.

This ain’t a diss. It’s just telling the truth.

Yea its really not a diss I’m a kanye fan and that was more like what’s going on with you ye

Holy fuck it’s so good to hear someone RAPPING from writing their own shit.

Especially for being one of the Two remaining Kings.

Drake is done as a rapper in my eyes, he doesn’t write his own shit since probably after Nothing was the same.

So he’s not even top 3 for the rap genre.

Only two niggas now, fucking Kendrick + J Cole.

Even Gambino isn’t rapping anymore, his album is just singing.

    Feels bad.

But those lyrics are damn well for Kayne, Drake, Jay Z, and anyone else who used ghost writers.

I also think the second verse he is talking about Logic.

Jay-Z uses ghostwriters? I thought he was going off the dome on most his songs. I actually have a throwback ROC dvd where it shows Jay-Z not needing any pad, pen, or phone when he was recording.

You lost me at Jay using ghost writers. I aint the biggest Jay Z fan but aint never known dude to use a ghostwriter

Oh well if these are subliminal shots, it’s the truth. Who gives a fuck if these are subliminal shots, I care more about his album dropping next Friday.

  • Anthony Mitchell

“Rap game done got a little strange
    Everybody got beef with everybody
    Nobody wanna say nobody name”

    • Herbz 4 Breakfast

There’s only rapper who constantly calls himself a genius, so was it really subliminal

      • Supreme Trunks

Right. Plus I think he did it as a sign this isn’t a diss; more of a talkin point

    • 100squad

      Bars bro bars

  • Ghostface-

“People don’t even write their shit” I wonder who’s that about? Um lol

  • Food4Thought

Cole is a breath of fresh air every time he drops..His low key under the radar movements still give me the feel of a new artist just grinding away and staying true to self

I kinda feel like he was talking to Kanye & Drake on da 1st verse. This whole part screams Drake “Maybe it’s my fault for idolizing niggas
Based off the words they be rappin’
But come to find out, these niggas don’t even write they shit
Hear some new style bubblin’ up, then they bite the shit
