    Such a classy humble guy.

  • Samisback

Drake in Fader Magazine back in 2015 when the reporter asked him if he had Ghostwriters…

I need, sometimes, individuals to spark an idea so that I can take off running,” he tells the magazine in response to Meek Mill’s accusations that he uses ghostwriters. “I don’t mind that. And those recordings—they are what they are. And you can use your own judgment on what they mean to you.”

Now 2 years later he’s saying he doesn’t have ghostwriters? Why couldn’t he say that 2 years ago when first asked..he’s lying

    • Thee_One1

Drake the realest in the GAME

      • Samisback

Lol yes the guy that made started from the bottom is the realist in the game

        • Thee_One1

he worked hard for everything so i dont respect people saying because you born rich its not the bottom…went from nothing to something. If you double up/triple up whatever is left to you…thats a hustler. If you born like one of the Waltons, then yeah you were handed everything. Instant billionaire. I was exaggerating on the realest…it was bait not going to lie lol.

          • Herbz 4 Breakfast

Oh so you one of them types who cool with Donald Trump saying he came from the bottom…When in reality his father gave him $1,000,000…. You need to stop. Drake is from Canada and he wasn’t poor. Last but not least, he definitely used and uses ghostwriters. Yes he writes some himself but a good percent of his songs are co written. What rapper needs reference tracks unless that rapper isn’t writing his own material. Singers use reference tracks because they don’t write the song and they need to know how to sing it and when….

          • Thee_One1

yeah play your cards giving and stop bitching is my MO….Trump a lame but the boy MULTIPLIED whatever his pops gave him. Still needs to be respected. Still worked hard. Being poor dont mean shit. You start at the bottom of whatever craft you pursue.

          • Samisback

he may had to work to get where he’s at in the music industry but he didn’t start from the bottom..if his music career didn’t work out he still had money to fall back on, there’s a lot of rappers in the game today who really did start from the bottom..who had no other options if their music career failed, drake was born privileged.

          • Thee_One1

if anything being privileged should hold him back, but he working like he dont got shit.. So thats irrelevant. Who cares if you have a cushion, hard work is respected period.

          • Samisback

being privileged rarely held anybody back..I’ve seen a ton of successful privileged people, you know how many former NBA and NFL football players that has or had kids playing in the league? a bunch..that’s privileged, it doesn’t make you work less harder because your privilege but it does provide you a cushion to fall back on if you don’t succeed, there’s nothing wrong with being born privileged but don’t try to act like you had to go through the same struggle as any other rapper.

          • Thee_One1

IDK bruh….cant agree with you on this. Privelege can potentially make you more lazy. Thats why Daymond John has a book called Power of Broke. I know what I’m saying. I read up on shit all the time.

          • Samisback

I can understand how being privileged could make someone work less harder..but how often has that happened? I’m not sure, it would be cool to have some statistics to back up this notion..all I know is there’s a ton of privileged people in the world today who’s successful..athletes/actors/musicians..take your pick.

          • Ye’

            Bottom of the music industry

          • Samisback

he could’ve meant that..but that’s not how people took it

        • Je’sus

Man wasn’t born rich. Yeah you have to have a good job to live in Canada. But if you degrassi actually pays you foolish

          • Samisback

his mom was a doctor he grew up in the rich part of canada

          • Je’sus

His mom was a Teacher. Tf
“We had] a half of a house we could live in. The other people had the top half, we had the bottom half. I lived in the basement, my mom lived on the first floor. It was not big, it was not luxurious. It was what we could afford.” Direct quote any one knows any single mother that’s a teacher ain’t rich

          • Samisback

lol that nigga grew up with money bruh, was he the richest person in the world? no but you can’t tell me he didn’t have money..that video of him on youtube crying to his mother because she didn’t bring him back a tuna sandwich from the store pretty much sums it up.

        • Cultured

          Lol he wasn’t born rich.

          • Samisback

most certainly wasn’t born poor neither

      • John

not even close. dumbest comment ever

        • Thee_One1

          Haha

      • kinglobey

lmao he not even in the conversation bruh PAUSE

    • WiseGuys Advice

He never said he didn’t use ghost writer’s. He said the majority of his music he wrote himself and acknowledged he has used writers on some of his versus. He said “music is a collaborative process,” which it is. When you got a deadline of 3 months and you’re releasing a album with 24 tracks on it, not all the content on it will be written by you, if it is it will be shitty music that won’t sell. It’ll either contain music written by other writers, or be heavy in guest features.

      • Samisback

but again he’s saying two different things, had he came out and said this in his Fader magazine interview the rumor would’ve ended..right? But instead of addressing it he danced around the question, now all of a sudden 2 years later when the topic completely died down he wants to say this, you can think what want..but I believe he’s lying he uses them more than we’re being led to believe.

Let me ask you this..is what he’s saying in this interview matching up with the quote from the Fader magazine interview?

        • Ye’

He is saying the same thing you are crazy. Or I am idk you got my head all fucked up

          • Samisback

lol nah..before he was saying how he needed help in the studio to get going and telling us to take those reference tracks how we wanna take them..but now he’s saying he wrote the majority of his music and he’s the best writer in the world.

    • YoungPrime

No you’re just so hell bend on vilifying the man that you can’t comprehend the shit that he’s saying.

      • Samisback

lol..comprehend what? in his Fader Magazine interview he piratically danced around the question as if he was scared to answer it..and now all of a sudden 2 years later when nobody cares anymore he wants to come out and say he writes his own music, why couldn’t he have said that before? and of course you believe him because you’re a Drake fan..I wouldn’t expect you to be subjective.

        • YoungPrime

“Comprehend” that Meek writes his own shit and still lost. Do I have to draw pictures for you bitter Meek-Freaks! Hell I don’t even like that singing shit that Drake does but you niggas are far more annoying.

          • Samisback

I know Meek lost..I’ve said on plenty occasions he lost, but in doing so he still ruined Drake’s legacy by exposing him..Nobody respects him as a rapper anymore.

          • YoungPrime

And yet I’d rather hear him rap than sing. Whether he wrote it himself or not. And spear me that “rap legacy” BS. If Dr. Dre released a Chronic 2 next week all of hiphop would be checking for it….

          • Samisback

Dr.Dre wasn’t running around claiming to be the best rapper alive neither..we knew Dre had ghostwriters the same way we knew Puff had ghostwriters, he’s admitted to having them..Dre isn’t a rapper, he’s a producer who raps..it was Drake who was frauding like he doesn’t but come to find out he does..and he’s still in denial about it..lol, “I write the majority of my music” njgga stop beating around the bush and just say you use ghostwriters.

          • YoungPrime

So what hurts your feeling the most, Drake not always writing or Meek still losing the battle regardless?

          • Samisback

Lol sounds like you’re the one that’s hurt, what do you mean losing the battle? the battle is over..happened 2 years ago, it’s Drake and his fans who keep talking about it because you’re still mad Meek exposed your idol.

      • Samisback

        objective*

  • Thee_One1

    DA GOD BODY

  • Samisback

True but I still believe He’s lying though, again had he came out 2 years ago when this was a hot topic and said it..maybe people would’ve believed him despite the reference tracks..but he comes out 2 years later when the beef pretty much died down to address it…you can tell it was bothering him but he must’ve forgot he said something different to Fader.

    • Supreme Trunks

But don’t make it seem like he chose that question. Maybe now that it’s over he felt like he can add some clarity vs when it was going on and both sides were using anything about the other as fuel for their beef.

      • Samisback

had he said to Fader Magazine what he said in this interview..you think anybody is questioning him anymore? probably some but the majority? no..the fact he danced around this question when first asked about it and the fact he didn’t give us a definitive answer just added fuel to the fire…but now 2 years later he’s sounding like a completely different person.

  • goldentiger3

Meek woulda died for snitching if it was anyone else. Drake let him keep his career in tact. That’s why I don’t fuck with meek because if he would snitch on his homie because he didn’t tweet thats not someones music i wanna listen too. Drake touched up on this in fear with every thing he raps is his and I really don’t care about the other writers because beyonce don’t even write her stuff but she been celebrated forever for being the best singer.

    • FaboLoso

you call it snitching everybody else calls it exposing a fraud

      • bawse

ALERT: faloloso the type of guy to snitch on the neighborhood kids cause they’re driving nicer cars then him and getting more money

        • FaboLoso

          snitch them about what?

  • I shit on your comment

Everyone is always arguing about the same dumbass ghostwriter shit.. idc either he uses or doesn’t use ghostwriters, i & alot of other ppl care about a good record & quality music.. i guess most of ya ppl prefer listening to fckin migos,21,uzi etc all rappin bout money & fuckin your bitch

    • Break bread with the God

Nigga drake raps about the same shit all of them do, you clown.

      • I shit on your comment

Not entirely true.. theres a big difference

  • FaboLoso

there’s a few things I took from this

    1. Drake’s self importance

he really believes he’s responsible for Meek’s career because of 2 features when in actuality Meek was poppin before Drake showed up…all Drake did was ride his wave like he does everybody else who’s poppin, lets look at the 2 records him and Meek did together “rico” and “amen”. they aren’t even his biggest songs, “dreams and nightmares” and “Imma Boss” are his biggest songs.

    2. he’s delusional

he believes Meek exposing he has ghostwriters would’ve ended his life, lmao..dude it isn’t that deep, a large part of his fan base are teenage white kids..you think they care you have ghostwriters? it would’ve discredited you as a rapper but as you see it did nothing to hurt his career, stop talking like that.

    3. he lies

he said he didn’t feel the need to address the ghostwriter accusations right away because everybody knows he writes his own music, but in 2015 2-3 months after Meek exposed him he sat down with fader magazine to address the accusations.

    4. he’s still clearly hurt by this

this beef happened in 2015 and he’s still talking about it as if it happened yesterday, everybody else has moved on but him.

  • Lydell Stewart

did he talk about pusha t?

  • FaboLoso

here’s a few things I took from this

    1. Drake’s self importance

he believes he’s responsible for Meek’s career because of 2 features when
in actuality Meek was poppin before Drake showed up…all Drake did was
ride his wave like he does everybody else who’s poppin.

    2. he’s delusional

he believes Meek was trying to end his life by exposing him lol smh , and a large part of his fan base are teenage white kids, you think they care he has ghostwriters? it discredits him as a rapper but as you see it did nothing to hurt his career, he also believes there’s some “higher ups” trying to end him..who runs the music industry? jews, and what is Drake? jewish, please stop that “higher ups” talk when you’re one of them.

    3. he’s still clearly hurt by this

this beef happened in 2015 and he’s still talking about it as if it happened yesterday, everybody else has moved on but him.

    • bawse

      1. Meeks biggest hits all have drake on them. The other largest player in Meeks name recognition is a women (meek is sort of like amber rose that way)

      2. Meek was trying to end his career. Everyone uses ghost writing or collaborating (some more than others)… but nobody says it on twitter. It’s unspoken between industry people (everyone knows its fake like wrestling). Meek snitched because he wanted to dent drake in a big way.

      3. Maybe drake is hurt… but if we’re going to act like meek mill’s life isn’t completely over and he didn’t just break into nikki’s house after he left DJ mustard’s house to cut up her clothes and pee on her couch then… I dont know man

      • FaboLoso

        Meek’s biggiest songs
        House party- no drake
        Imma boss- no drake
        Dreams and nightmares-no drake
all eyes on you- no drake

lol..meek maybe was trying to end his career but end his life? lmao bruh his life??? stop being dramatic. and the fact drake is still hurt about this even though he won the battle just shows how sensitive he is…and didn’t meek just perform in front of a sold out show in philly? isn’t meek selling out club appearances everywhere he goes? I’m not sure how his life is over..

    • Break bread with the God

Exactly this is why sometimes this dude is annoying. He always talks shit about EVERYONE and always sneak dissing, but as soon as someone says something bad about him “oh they did me wrong blahblah” like a bitch. He’s that type of person that if they help you do one thing they gonna act like you owe them for life or they the reason you the place you at.

      • FaboLoso

lol he’s sensitive he easily gets his feelings hurt, he won the battle against Meek but the way he’s talk you would’ve thought he lost.

  • MarxSound Audio Services

If you have spent any time in a recording studio, taking weeks to put together a project; you would know creating music is a collaborative process. writing lyrics, writing the music, the concepts-hell even down to the damn album cover art work, everything is a collaborative process.

I think most people are uninformed and don’t really understand the difference between ghost writing and collaborating. Even so, if an artist had a ghost writer on a track, he still has to have the talent and skill to pull off a performance and turn it into a song.

This is nothing new, it’s been going on since the earliest days of musical recording.
Honestlry its not new, do you think singers like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston wrote all those hit songs? No, people wrote them for them. Now on the other hand, there are artists like Marving Gaye who wrote, sang, and played alot of his own material..he was on another level though!

  • Idris Newton

Faboloso you aren’t going to win because drake fans are just as delusional as he is. It’s a new day and new fans with new standards and they don’t care about integrity of lyrics like people from the past eras. Ots a new day and that’s just that. Drake is a really good artist but an okay rapper, Meek is a really good rapper but that’s not the standard by which rappers are judged anymore. Drake is a signing niggas who calls himself a rapper and the fans these days are fine with that. It’s a new wave. And really rap fans know this guy can’t hold a candle to really skilled emcees but the superficial fans don’t give a shot about that.

  • Idris Newton

Oh and by the way, as a rap fan he has not dropped a classic album or classic song as of yet at all. AT ALL!!! and for all you Drake stand out there Back to Back and Charged Up and Revenge are all look warm AT BEST. caps for emphasis lol

  • Kool

Drake is the softest , biggest suck up/hop on most overrated artist in the game. He only sells cause of his fan base. His last good album was take care. Drake is not a GOAT lmao smh you new generation niggaz need to do your homework on so much. Drake think he’s the best but fab will destroy him n anyone else. Fab best rapper alive

  • Worldwide Intentionz

Dude y’all still on this shit? Drake won’t ever let this go… Meek got him hurt.

  • Ye’

Bruuh people hate to see Drake win damn there is sooo much drizzy hate on this bitch… if you even like one drake song you are a dickrider, damn

  • YoungPrime

I don’t own a single cd from either artist but Drake won that shit. Period!

  • (✮❀♬Jdm Life♪ ❀✮)

lol they mean he had to hire the best ghost writer to come hard at meek
