DJ Khaled’s ‘Grateful’ Finishes Number 1 On Album Charts In A Squeaker
DJ Khaled scored the biggest hit of his career with his tenth album Grateful, which did 150,632 sales plus streaming in its first week according to Hits Daily Double.
That’s enough to give Khaled his second straight number one album, following last year’s Major Key, which sold 95,000 units in its first week.
Barely enough, as Khaled just topped Imagine Dragon’s Evolve [148,778] to take the top spot.
As for the projections for next week …
The whole world is wondering about JAY-Z’s new album 4:44.
However, since it’s a Tidal exclusive we’re never really going to get a real read on what it was able to do in its first week. 4:44 is expected to hit all formats this Friday, and we’ll see what numbers it can put up then.
Kanye West’s 2016 album The Life Of Pablo was able to do 90K SPS the week after it was freed from Tidal, which was enough to win that particular week.
