Cam’ron Knew About Bill O’Reilly’s Sexual Assault Allegations 14 Years Ago
Whether you’ve seen it when it aired, or whether you’ve caught a YouTube video of it, the discussion between Cam’ron, Dame Dash and Bill O’Reilly in 2003 will go down as one of the most entertaining TV moments ever.
In short, the conversation was about the influence that rap music has on young people, and at one point things got a little heated.
“I got dirt on you, doggie,” said Cam.
According to The New York Times, O’Reilly had to pay five different women around that time a total of $13 million to settle sexual harassment cases, which was clearly the “dirt” the Harlem rapper was talking about. Cam broke down what happened in 2003 in a new interview with Noisey.
“As far as all of the sexual allegations, before I went up there, what I did was my publicist had told me about a lot of that stuff but instead of being serious with him, we had so much fun clowning him that it just turned into a roast session and we just started laughing at him,” Cam told Noisey. “I had a good time when I did it, because I didn’t really know the background of him at that particular time. Like I said, I probably was prepped an hour before I went on the show. It was more funny than anything else. But you know, sexual assault really isn’t funny, so if he really did those things, then it’s good that Fox got rid of him.”
O’Reilly was let go from his longtime job at Fox News in April of this year after more sexual harassment claims surfaced.
