so is this how “music” works, people just get a redirect from an instaDJ fame whore…and then, people go and buy some lame old crap rap song?? i guess it’s like a record store, only people just go and buy a single?
i mean….it does sound like an 11 yr old wrote the original … did anything u do deserve that much BAG when u were 11??? Does that song???
    I get it i’m a hater
i also just wanna understand how this “industry” works
but social media really ruining our ears tho

    • FUCKING STUPID

      ;( cry about it

      • jurassicjrod

This guy always misseddthe point. I was asking a legitimate question. This is a hip hop and music website. We should be talking about the industry. I cant believe this story even exists. Who listens to a girls instagram for new music? Does that person deserve to be ranking music let alone mix it? That’s a lot of money to give to people not even making music at all. She mixes other peoples hard work

    • Supreme Trunks

I’m trying to follow your argument. Are you saying you hate that the song is just now getting popular because it’s recycled? or you saying you hate that the song getting any airplay at all?

      • Astronaut

He’s trashing the song and the fact an “Insta fame dj” can play a small clip of a song and all of a sudden its trending and Juicy gets paid. Also he’s saying the song is trash, hence his quotations in “music”

i mean, i have my opinions on what is good and bad rap, clearly its subjective to an extent…but something about an 11 yr old writing about getting his dick sucked a lot doesn’t sound too original or like BAG worthy…maybe a few hundred thousand views on youtube worthy…lol idk, i came from a different era/hiphop bringup….it always depends where and when you started to listen to hip hop (and whoever introduced u to it too)

          • Astronaut

I got u. Nothing wrong with it. He was in the 11th grade tho not 11 years old.

          • jurassicjrod

LMAO…actually makes me feel better that i read that wrong…and makes slightly more sense…lol…thx for the heads up

      • jurassicjrod

i’m saying both sorta….i dont if it’s Hate so much as trying to recognize…..and then i decide to hate….some people will recognize and then love it….i just think that some of this social media nonsense helps to FABRICATE THE FACADE OF POPULARITY that then gets shoved down our faces as “news headlines” when in reality they were only popular with a small target market, in this case, people who must generally follow musicians on instagram…..idk….i get the live music making component of bringing ur fans in…..but some of these “djs” don’t MAKE music, they just ROTATE it….that ain’t supposed to get u 35K reposts or whatever….i mean, come on (jimmy voice from south park)

Yeah I hear you but from what I hear about this girl she is an actual “producer”. Yeah she used Three six for this track but it think she made beats for a lot of trap artists. I remember seeing her pop up on my timeline for another beat she produced

    • Astronaut

      You funny man.

    • Melo

      Yeah, you’re just a hater.

      • jurassicjrod

ur clearly not reading what i write, having read ur typical comments, that doesn’t surprise me

        • Melo

          Ditto

          • jurassicjrod

bro, foh. ur the hater. and u didn’t write anything to read….so how does ditto apply to me here?
thanks for your opinion, mr. classy

          • Melo

            We are.

          • jurassicjrod

i am not saying it for the same reasons as u…and u know that….and you still continue to disrespect…thank the lord for the comments section on the internet.

    • jurassicjrod

      i’ve been corrected, and read that wrong…11th grade…my B

    • Craig

I don’t know… the same thing happened to missie Elliot when she performed at the super bowl a while back. The next day all of her old classics jumped to number one… it blew her head up so much that she put out a new album shortly after….. pretty sure that shit flopped though. it’s like how niggas went back and started listening to isley brothers after biggie dropped big poppa.

      • jurassicjrod

it is def just interesting to me…i don’t do social media, so i am just shocked that an unofficial mix that came up in a random DJ’s instagram would then be the “reason” (as this article claims it is) that Juicy’s random ass shitty song would even pop back up on “charts”……
but yeah, i agree, things like that happen often to old shit …. its good for the artist no doubt, i’m just wondering why this song got coverage this time….is it because people follow that DJ cause she’s “pretty”? she certainly had the most mediocre mixing skills i ever heard…..so, I just was thinking…
thx for responding seriously man 🙂

  • Chicagoan

Its a classic… Hard ass bassline, crazy hi-hats… These new mfs can’t be original, doin either off the wall shit or bitin’ like a mf to stay relevant. Bout to go bump that classic…

  • Poopmaster

Ma nigguh! Good for you juicy. Shit I’ve been bumping that shit since I was in 9th grade. Reminds me of my ex lol.

  • SadiqBolivar

Is this what DJs do now? Lmao jus play songs with a few scratches in between?
