  • WOWWOWWOW

Yeah Joe, Yachty’s fucking 19 in a free country.

    • Lord_Farquad

      …you know that’s a two-way street, right?

  • iDONTFuckWitU

Please someone got to come at these little niggas especially since they be talking like Trap Gods of the century.

I would’ve said he deserved the pass if he didn’t already say disrespectful shit about biggie and just some comments he made on hip-hop alone.

You ESPECIALLY can’t comment on hip-hop when your latest single was called Peek a boo…….that shit is quadruple toilet water.

  • Matt Leon

Joe officially retired? Damn. I was hoping for at least one more Slaughterhouse album or at least an EP or something.

      – Said No One Ever

      • Matt Leon

Speak for yourself bro. Crooked, Budden, Ortiz, and Royce are crazy lyrical by themselves but put together, they be dropping the best music. I still be playing some of their albums.

        • Herbz 4 Breakfast

          I pity your ear drums

          • Matt Leon

Smh. Bruh have you ever even listened to a Slaughterhouse track?

    • Blahblah ooo

He’s retired as an individual artist.
      He’s not retired with slaughterhouse.

      • Matt Leon

So there could still be some chances for Slaughterhouse to put something out then. Chances are slim of that happening but I’ll just keep hoping something happens.

  • Samisback

Hiphop was ruined long before lil yatchy showed up

    • BC

the fuck you doin on this site then?

      • Samisback

        reading the articles?

  • Lord_Farquad

*Listens to “T-Shirt & Buddens”*….*listens to “Wonton Soup”*…..what the fuck?

  • Cultured

Lol don’t like the music? Don’t listen to it, its that simple. Been doing it for years haha. Hip Hop can’t be ruined, it can only get bigger. Right now it’s bigger than it’s ever been. You can’t blame Yachty for other rappers not having bars you want to hear. This argument is tired and old. Leave the kid alone.

P.S. I don’t listen to Yachty, but I also don’t hate on him.

    • imaginationsequation

how’s hip hop bigger than its ever been, right now? In terms of what?

      • Omar M

Sales, streams, culture… watchu mean? That being said, just because it’s big doesn’t mean its good.

        • imaginationsequation

sales and streams actually have nothing to do with anything. Culture?? How many of these new artist already STATED, that they are not hip hop or rap, so whatchu mean culture

          • Omar M

Sales and streams are what shows relevancy. I don’t give a fuck about Top 40’s but that’s all some people bump. People like Yachty have some of the aspects of rap culture, like clothes, beats, and slang, but their music is not a good example of hip hop, and people like his shit for some reason. They may not claim hip hop but people out there link em up, that’s why people like Joe Budden claim that what they are fucking up the game.

          • imaginationsequation

Black people and their culture will always be relevant and everyone will profit off of them, they have no bearings on relevancy at all. People’s music should speak for themselves, not their clothes or album sales, but I kinda get what youre saying

        • Cultured

Yes true, but just because people don’t like all of hip hop does not make it bad. In every genre there are people that don’t like all of it, but they don’t say the whole genre is bad. Every generation has said this same thing over and over again, but the truth is it’s just big as hell with so many sub categories that keep evolving. I don’t have to like the music but I also don’t have to listen to it, nor do I need to knock some else because they do.

          • imaginationsequation

What sub categories.are you talking about. If an artist says their not hip hop or rap, what sub category are they put in, why do fans and media still label them hip hop Or rap when the artist themselves.dont call it that? Weird

          • Omar M

I don’t knock people either, but it’s irritating that kids grow up bumping him as their favorite rapper/hip hop artist. And that’s probably what the old heads said when people like Young Thug came on the scene and changed the game up. Like you said, it happens in every generation, but I would say Yachty is far out there enough that people need to quit putting that label on him, and he can keep it moving and maybe start a new genre. I won’t listen but salute to the hustle.

  • CO Killer

“old heads” say these young rappers ruining hip hop but the nigga that said “a hip hop the hippie the hippie to the hip hip hop” is a legend

    • Mec-One

If you’re trying to make a point ………. keep trying …… smh

      • CO Killer

You must be a fan of that trash rap from the 80’s

        • Mec-One

The hip hop you call “trash” paved the way for you young cats and that so called rap today that you’re unfortunately most likely a fan of ……. foh

  • FaboLoso

drake won rap album of the year at the grammys for an album that barely had any rap on it
drake won rap song of the year for a song that had no rap on it (hotling bling)

hiphop has been a joke for a while now, these award shows don’t even respect it anymore..lil yatchy is just a product of his environment, most mainstream rap is trash..there’s some artists still keeping real hiphop alive but clearly not enough.

    • Dj Cage

Chance won rap album of the year

      • FaboLoso

you right but views shouldn’t of even been nominated for that shit

  • Mec-One

Waiting for one of you young cats to tell lil boat to put it in a rap ……. but even y’all know he got nothing for Joe on the mic …….. lol

  • Craig

Niggas need to go back and watch a documentary on how hip hop was born. Look at the first hip hop crews. How they dressed and the way they performed before run dmc took it to the streets. Then tell me yatchy is really out of place. I think he weird and can’t rap either but his style is really late 70’s early 80’s all over again. Same cycle new generation.

  • yolkipalki69

lol idk what it is with every year new weirdos popping up screaming hip hop yet they seem further and further from in….. only select few left who bring you back full circle to that feeling of that 90s feel….this auto tune craze just trash, only because it should be a under a different category all together and not de value hip hop….. shit is like dubstep in the house music genre , its just different.

  • Mec-One

Wasn’t trash ……. and some of them old school cats could probably out bar these mumble cats today. But, these new cats don’t consider themselves rappers and that’s just to avoid an actual battle foh

    • CO Killer

I don’t care who they can out bar, doesn’t change the fact that those songs were traaaaaaasssssssshhhhhh

      • Mec-One

That’s your opinion ……. which is worth as much as your worthless argument …. foh

        • CO Killer

Awww your feelings hurt because we could care less about your generation’s garbage music 🙁

          • Mec-One

That all you got? Your troll game weak bruh ……..
Aye, just be glad that ya’ mama liked it or your punkass wouldn’t be hear! LOL
Yes yes y’all and you don’t stop /to the beat y’all and you don’t quit …….

          • CO Killer

Bruh go listen to kool moe g raps and get off the Internet. You probably 50 years going back and forth on the internet

  • Imwhite

This is the same argument everyone had with their parents growing up about ‘music in my day.’ Fact is music changes with the culture. There will always be the facet of what most consider ‘real hip hop’ but to get paid you need to bring something new to the table to stand out. I just wish it was in the lyrics themselves and not all the hairstyles/clothes.

  • treejaydc2

ya’ll niggas on here acting like lil’ yachty isn’t an undiagnosed case of autism at its best. his music is clearly for autistic kids. joe is only calling him out on that shit.
